The mass diffusion coefficient in the drying model is an important parameter and it is very necessary to obtain its raliable data in the study of drying characteristics of materials. In this paper, how to determine the mass diffusion coefficient of particulate materials by the method of parameter estimation is studied. The results show that this is a simple, reliable and practical method.
