THE ANTI-SEISMIC MEASURES OF BUILDINGS IN U. S. A.

作者最近曾赴美国进行了为时数月的建筑科技考察和学术交流。美国的建筑抗震措施可以简要归纳为“避、稀、低、轻、柔”五个字。

The author visited U. S. A. for three months for the investigation of architectural science and technology, as well as the academic exchange. The anti-seismic measures of buildings in U. S. A. may be classified into five ways. i. e. avoidance, sparsity, low, lightness, and flexibility.
