摘要
本文回顾了移动通信的发展历史,介绍了目前ITU所属无线电通信部(ITU-R)对第三代移动通信系统——未来公众陆上移动通信系统(FPLMTS)的初步设想以及当前针对这一新系统开展的各项工作和今后的计划安排。该系统可望在2000～2002年前后投入运行。
This paper reviews the development process of mobile Communications and introduces the concept of the 3rd genera-tion mobile communication system(FPLMTS) as well as the cur-rent work and future plan. This system is expected to be put into operation around 2000.
