Abstract In this paper, a class of explicit two-step methods with minimal phase-lag for the integration of second order periodic initial-value problems is suggested. These methods have the advantage of higher precision, considerably smaller phase-lag and a larger interval of periodicity than the explicit methods in [1]-[2]. Numerical experiments have shown that the methods presented are efficient.
