Multi-mode for hydro turbine governing, including speedpower- and opening - regulations is proposed and described in this Paper.Control laws of regulation modes and rules for bumpless transfer betweenmodes manually or auto matically are discussed. The field tests and operationsdemonstrate that transferring between modes is bumpless and following thesetting signal is satisfactorily fast and smooth.
