摘要
本文提出了一种解决太阳横向磁场方向测定中180°不确定性的方法。该方法首先将Gary等提出的方法定量化,客观地确定每一点的横场方向;然后由独立的H_α观测或磁场演化历史,分析和确定磁力线的拓扑联接性,对客观确定的横场方向做经验修正。对活动区的应用表明,该方法是一个可供选择的解决横场方向不确定性的有效方法。
An alternative method to remove the 180 degree ambiguity in determining the transverse field direction is proposed in this paper.This method consists of two steps.First,the way suggested by Gary et al.has been quantified.It could be qualitatively understood as an assumption of equivalent magnetic charge. For a given point,an unique testing charge is introduced and the net Coulomb's force felt by it from nearby magnetic charges is calculated. By assuming the angle between the transverse field at this point and the net Coulomb's force calculated is less than 90 degrees,the field azimuth can be objectively determined. Afterwards, necessary corrections of the preliminary resolution of the 180 degree ambiguity can be made from the topology constraints specified by independent H_α observation as well as the evolutionary history of the magnetic field. Application of this method to an active region shows that the method is an alternative, effective method of resolving the 180 degree ambiguity.
