Bibliometrical Application and Its Limitation as a New Means of Exterior History Research

文献计量学作为一种计量工具目前广泛应用于科学外史研究的两个方面,即对科学增长量和科学交流的计量。但是由于科学发展的复杂性,利用文献计量学只能对科学发展规律作一种非常粗略的度量,在操作过程中存在一定的缺陷,但它作为一种研究方法却是对科学史研究的补充。

Bibliometrics has been applied in the measure to scientific increasing and intercommunication of (exterior) history research.Owing to the complexity of scientific development, the rule of scientific development is measured approximately by bibliometrics and the limitation occurs in the course of operation. In spite of this,(bibliometrics) is complementarity to exterior history research as a sort of investigation means.
