Studing the simple wagon accumulation process in which wagon groups are all of the same size and arrive evenly,this paper applies congruence theory to the analysis of theregularity of accumulation interruption, brings out the concept of accumulation period,proposes further the concepts of accumulation class and additive group of accumulation class,deduces the formula for calculating wagon detention time(wagon hour)in accumulation,andcreates the group theory model.Thus,it gives a fairly perfect math description of the simplewagon accumulation process.
