In practical application system of DSP, the expansion of external circuit for realizing UART function.This paper introduces a method of high speed communciation between PC and DSP with the TL16C750. The performance of TL16C750 and registers involved are presented. Finally, the communication hardware circuit of TL16C750 between TMS320VC5402 and PC is designed Software program is given for initialization of TL16C750 with TMS320VC5402.
