Born in Beijing on November 26th 1944, Mr. Cui Ruzhuo taught in the Central Academy of Art and Design in the nation's capital before emigrating to the United States of America in 1981. He was appointed vice president of the Institute of Advanced Studies of Chinese Art in New York and worked as a visiting professor at John Dewey University, where in 1984 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts degree. He is now the Chairman of the Hong Kong International Artists Association and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Cui Ruzhuo Art Foundation.
