在认识西部高等教育和人力资源的现状的基础上 ,借鉴国外高等教育促进经济开发的成功经验 ,对西部高等教育提出一些战略性思考 ,以便使西部高等教育充分发挥其应有的职能 ,尽快适应西部大开发战略要求 ,走向经济建设的主战场 ,培养更多。

On the basis of the present situation in West China about higher education and labor resources, the thesis uses the successful experiences of foreign countries' higher education affecting the economic development.The strategic consideration to the higher education in West China is pointed out. In order to give play to the function of the higher education in West China, the higher performance staff who can fit in with the strategic needs of the development in West China should be cultivated.
