Accelerate the Library Legislation in Accordance with the Development of the Market Economy

我国的图书馆事业要适应社会主义市场经济的发展,满足人民群众日益增长的文化需要,必须加快图书馆立法步伐,及早使改革的成果以法律形式固定下来。作者认为:图书馆法应在图书馆的社会地位、资金、人员设置、人才结构的安排、业务工作的技术要求和新时期办馆宗旨等重要方面给予保障。

In China,in order to make the library undertakings suited to the development of the socialist market economy and meet the people's ever increasing cultural needs, it is necessary to accelerate the library legislation. The author believes that the library law should provide the guarantee of the social status of libraries,funds,a reasonable staff structure,the standard of the professional skill,the aim to operate libraries in the new term,and so on.
