19世纪中后期 ,美国为打开朝鲜国门 ,对朝鲜采取了武力开国策略。失败后 ,继而采取和平方式与朝鲜缔约 ,以尊重朝鲜独立为幌子 。

In middle and later period of 19th century, America adopted a gunboat policy to force Korea to open its door.After failure of the gunboat policy,America assumed a peaceful stance by concluding treaties with Korea in order to supremely extend its benefits under the pretence of respecting the independence of Korea .
