本文阐述淤泥软土的工程特性，以及对建筑物地基基础的危害性。介绍用水玻璃系化学灌浆加固流塑状淤泥软土，具有科学性和先进性，并结合典型的工程实例进行具体说明，展示出该新技术在珠江三角洲软土地基的应用远景。

In this paper the engineering properties of muck and its harmfulness to the foundation of buildings are expounded. The use of water glass system chemical grouting is a scientific and advanced way for the treatment of flow-plastic muck and is explained with actual engineering practices. It demonstrates clearly the prospect of such a new technique is adoptable for soft subsoils treatment in the delta of Zhujiang.
