含意理论对英文阅读的指导作用

摘要 阅读是获取信息最直接而有效的方法之一 ,阅读理解的真正内涵在于透彻理解作者在一定语境里隐含于表面文字中的真正意图。在英文阅读教学中 ,教师如果能按照语言认知的规律引导学生了解语言的常规性并判断作者是否遵循了“合作原则” ,学生们就能对含意进行恰当推导 ,并真正理解作品的精髓。文章通过实例分析得知 ,将含意理论引入阅读教学可帮助学生正确理解文章的内涵。 Reading has been the most important part in college English teaching. Reading comprehension refers to the understanding of both explicit meanings and implied meanings. It proves that, in the teaching of reading comprehension, if a teacher, guided by the principles of language acquisition, helps the students understand what stereotypical relations are included in English and whether the author infringes the “Cooperative Principle', it will be easier for them to comprehend the passage completely. The essay, with the intention of helping students achieve better comprehension in reading, is thus to discuss the application of implicature theories in the teaching of reading comprehension, particularly the inference of implied meanings.
