Discussing again the Problem that ShangKexi Betrayed the Ming and Submitted himself to the Qing

尚可喜是明末清初的重要人物。从1623年到1634年他一直为明朝东征西杀,立下了汗马功劳,官至广鹿岛副将。尚可喜是忠于明朝的,功不可没。他背叛明朝不是其主观因素决定的,而是明朝当中的一些势利小人出于个人的私怨逼走了这位忠臣良将,完全把他推向了清朝方面,使他为清朝出生入死,成为清朝的开国功臣。从他归附清朝来看,他有他的特殊情况,不能将“汉奸”之类的称呼加在他的头上。

Shang Kexi was an important person of the last years of Ming and the early years of Qing. From 1623 to 1634, he went all out for the Ming all the time, and performed deeds of valour in battle, and became a deputy of the Wide Deer Island. Shang Kexi was loyal to the Ming. What he betrayed the Ming infringed his subjective ideas. Some villains forced him, the official loyal to his sovereign, to submit himself to the Qing. So he went through fire and water for the Qing and became a person who has found the State of Qing. He had his unique cause and submitted himself to the Qing. We don't call him a traitor.
