This article discusses the basic conceptions of serial communication, as well as the difference between RS-232 and RS-485,and introduces the serial communication control-MSCommn in VB 6.0, WinSock control used in network programming and distributed control modules. This article offers a method which realizes a remote supervisory control system based on network and an example.
