翻译的目标及其实现

译者在翻译过程中都有目标。本文将翻译的目标区分为一般目标和具体目标。通过分析 ,我们发现 ,实现了翻译目标的译文可分成两类 :一类完全忠实原文 ;另一类虽有悖原文 ,但较好实现了某种功效。译者在翻译过程中 ,较好地把握翻译目标 ,会使译文产生良好的社会意义和现实意义。译者在把握翻译目标时 ,应该遵循主观目标和客观目标统一的原则。

A translator has an objective during translating. This paper divides translation objectives into two groups, the general ones and the specific ones. Then the paper classifies the successful versions into two categories: those fully faithful to the source versions and those that have achieved some specific purpose despite some unfaithfulness. Therefore, it is necessary for a translator to achieve the translation objective with a principle during his translating. The guidance to a translator is to unify the general objective and the specific one.
