在中国古代,官方修史机构是史学的主体之一,与私家分担着史学发展的社会职责。官方修史逐步成为国家政 权运行机制的组成部分,这有力地推动了传统史学的连续发展和繁荣。但是,官方史学也对史学发展起到一些负面的影 响。在清朝灭亡之后,官方史学意识仍然存在。在当代,应充分利用官方史学因素的积极作用,同时也应注意研究和防 止其弊端发生,以保证史学事业的繁荣和健康发展。

In ancient China , the official writing of history shared the same responsibility with the private one , which pushed ahead the development and prosperity of traditional historiography , but some adverse influences were also produced. After the end of the Qing dynasty this consciousness of historiography still existed. In the present era the positive factors of official writing of history should be made full use of and at the same time its malpractice should be paid more attention to.
