Time is one of the most important factors in analysis of geographic data, because the geographic objectives change constantly with time. In the paper, the development and key questions of temporal GIS are introduced in respects of database structure, data organization and management of space-time data, also, the application of temporal GIS in land management of mining area is described in the end.
