On the Reform of the UN and Its Development Tendency

2005年是联合国成立60周年的纪念年。当今世界的局势已经与60年前联合国初创时期的局势完全不同了,联合国面临着改革的严峻局面。由于涉及各国的利益特别是大国参与争斗,联合国的改革特别是安理会的改革实质是一场权力的再分配。如何协调发达国家与发展中国家的矛盾以及如何建立大国与中小国家的平衡是联合国改革亟待解决的难题。

2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations (UN). The current international situation is quite different from that when the UN was founded sixty years ago. The UN is facing a severe reform. Due to the interests of the nations, especially the big countries have participated in the struggles for their own interests, the reform of the UN, particularly that of the UN Security Council, is essentially a redistribution of right. It is an urgent issue for the reform of the UN to coordinate the conflicts between the developed countries and the developing countries, and to balance between the big countries and the middle & small countries.
