Ezra Pound, one of the most influential men in the western literature, received approval almost as much as disapproval for his creative translation. This paper, from the perspective of Schleiermacher's Methodological Hermeneutics, offers a theoretical explanation of Pound's 'mistranslating' and 'inventing' in his translation of Chinese classic pomes.
