摘要
本文以英语专业一年级和三年级各 4 0名学生为调查对象 ,采用问卷和面谈等方法 ,探究英语专业学生学习观念的总体倾向 ,比较高、低年级学生在学习观念上的异同。结果表明 :1)英语专业学生普遍认为管理策略、后天努力、形式操练策略和功能操练策略对学好外语很重要 ;2 )除母语观念外 ,高、低年级学生在学习观念上不存在较大差异。
This paper reports an empirical study on six kinds of learners' beliefs held by English majors at different proficiency levels in the Chinese context. The subjects are the first-year and third-year English majors from Ocean University of China, and the instruments adopted include a questionnaire and interviews. Analysis of both the qualitative and the quantitative data has yielded the following findings: 1) The English majors tend to believe that management strategies, effort, form strategies and content strategies are important to the learning of English. 2) Except the belief on the use of the mother tongue, no significant difference is found in the other five kinds of beliefs between subjects at different proficiency levels.
