英汉思维模式差异对大学英语写作的影响

语言和思维关系密切。语言是思维的主要表现形式 ,而思维无时无刻都在制约和塑造着语言。他们相互影响 ,相互作用 ,互为表征。本文从英汉思维模式的差异入手 ,分析了不同思维模式对英语写作中词语选择、句子结构、语篇构建以及语言风格等方面产生的影响 ,指出大学英语写作教学必须提高学生对英汉语思维模式的差异意识 ,并提出了如何缩小差异、培养学生写作能力的策略。

Language and thinking are closely related. Language is a reflection of thinking and thinking is constraining and remodeling language all the time. This paper conducts a contrastive analysis of the thinking modes of both Chinese and English. It points out that the differences reflected in the two languages, such as wording, sentence structure, discourse organization and writing style, definitely affect the way of students' English writing. Some strategies are also suggested in this paper so as to enhance the students' awareness of the gaps between the two languages and improve their writing ability as well.
