The article provides information of British higher education mainly including it's outline and current status, college types, development stages and tendency, involving the power for institutions of higher education in running a school, higher education management, institution and mechanism for quality control, scientific research, teaching evaluation, mechanism of educational allocation funds, school income and charge from poor students, recruiting students abroad, rectifying unauthorized educational institutions, and so on. By observing the current hotspots, which are being argued or paid attention to in today's British society, the author puts forward some questions deserving adverting and consideration by the higher education institutions in China.
