《欲望号街车》以其复杂的人物形象和独特的艺术特色闻名于世。中国对它的评论与演出充分体现了中国文化对异质文化的接受与过滤。从人物分析到艺术探讨,从“空间戏剧”到小剧场的演出,都标示着该剧的“汉化”过程,充分反映了中国在接受这部美国当代戏剧名著时的文化误读现象。
A Streetcar Named Desire is well known for its complicated characters and unique artistry. The reviews and performances in China foreground the Chinese cultural factors. From character analyses to artistic exploration, from “empty space theatre” to little theatre performances, it manifests the Chinese characteristics.
