Reform, design and operation of the raw materials handling system, which has already got a great benefit, for No. 4 blast furnace of Baogang, are introduced in detail in this paper. The practice indicates that it is possible and reliable to reform the existing raw materials handling system located in the narrow part of the traffic by adopting advanced and reasonable designs and equipment. The technical features of the design and the new technologies adopted in the system are also described in detail in this paper.
