“仲春之月,奔者不禁”考辨

《周礼·地官·媒氏》有“仲春之月 ,令会男女 ,于是时也 ,奔者不禁”。学者多将此看作原始社会群婚之遗俗 ,实际上 ,这里的“奔”并非“淫奔”、“私奔”之义 ,而是指“六礼不备”。它是当时的统治者在特殊情况下为督促适婚男女及时婚嫁以增殖国家人口 ,稳定社会而采取的一项特殊的婚姻政策 ,是当时国家所推行的“仁政”
