比较中、俄两部表现重大政治反思题材的影片,它们在政治与爱情、政治与人性关系的表达,以及运用象征与隐喻传达思想等方面的异同,体现出两位大师的思想及影像特点以及因两国的政治和文化差异而形成的反思的深广度与特色。

By comparison with the Russian film Scorching Sun, the Chinese film Hibiscus Town has, more or less, the same theme of political reflection, the same expression of the relationship between politics and love, between politics and humanity, and the same creative techniques of symbol and metaphor. But, due to the specific politics and cultures of two countries, the two films also have some differences both of the depth and breadth of the reflection, and of distinctive features.
