On Causes of Modern Chinese Characters Concurrence of Parts of Speech

词的兼类是目前现代汉语语法学界无法回避而又分歧严重的问题之一。词的兼类是一种客观存在,对于现代汉语而言,这种语法现象产生的原因可以从词义派生、吸收欧化语法、词类活用和普通话吸收词的方言用法四个方面探求。

The concurrence of parts of speech is one of the issues that can't be evaded in modern Chinese grammatical field with serious divergence of views. It is an impersonal existence. And for modern Chinese, the causes of this grammatical phenomenon can be explored from such aspects as derivation of meaning, assimilation of Europeanized grammar, flexible use of parts of speech and assimilated mandarin characters.
