As the internet grows,the volume of network traffic increase exponentially,and there are more and more security affairs.For the network administrators,there is an urgent need to go into a detail about the working status of the network and the composition of the network traffic and to keep the network working securely and efficiently.The architecture of a flow-based network traffic monitor and analysis system is presented,and three cases are given to demonstrate how it can be used in a real network environment.
