The paper introduces the state of the production of iron and steel in Russia aroundthe time when the U.S.S. R.was disintegrated.Analyses arc also made of the reservation ofraw materials, utilization of equipment, level of technical development, distinguishing featuresand existing problems in the production of iron and steel in Russia nowadays.
