Social Science is the Mother of Productivity

“科学技术是第一生产力”的科学命题和普适论断,并不仅仅指向自然科学,而更要同时涵括社会科学。社会科学同自然科学一样,均与生产力具有极高的相关度,并对生产力状态具有相同甚至更强的解释力。社会科学是生产力之母,自然科学是生产力之父。社会各界长期以来对“科学技术是第一生产力”所作的完全自然科学化的偏狭认知和错误理解,既不符合经典作家的原本旨意和生产力发展的真实轨迹,又背离了现代化浪潮和知识经济的内在要求。因自然科学与社会科学的良性互动而共同构成的社会生产力的发展,是生产力发展的第一规律。

The scientific proposition and universal judgment of that Science and Technology Constitutes a Primary Productive Force not only includes the natural science, but also covers the social science. Social science is highly related to productivity just like the natural science, and has same or even stronger explanation power for the productivity state. Social science is the mother of productivity, natural science is the father of productivity. The long-term insular cognition and misunderstanding of the society totally from the view of natural science for the proposition of Science and Technology Constitutes a Primary Productive Force not only does not conform to the classical writer's original intention and the real track of productivity development, but also deviates from the internal requirement of modern tide and knowledge economy. It is the first proposition for productivity development that the harmonious interaction between natural science and social science commonly constructs the social productivity development.
