作为共产国际的下级,陈独秀在无奈地接受了党内合作形式的国共合作政策之后,不得不同意和执行共产国际的各项指示。在共产国际的压力与国民党的排挤之下,陈独秀才发表了所谓的具有“二次革命论”倾向的文章。“二次革命论”中所表露的无产阶级对统一战线及武装力量的领导权的放弃,恰恰来自共产国际,而不是陈独秀。

Under the pressure of Kuomintang and the Comintern, Chen published articles with the inclination of The Second Revolutionism. The Second Revolutionism shows that it was truly the Comintern who had given up the proletarian's leadership of the united front and armed forces instead of Chen Duxiu.
