On the Distance of Culture and its Agreement with Translation

人类离不开交流,翻译是处于异质文化中的人们进行相互交流的必不可少的工具。翻译工作促进了异质文化之间的 交流,但是翻译本身也受到了文化的影响。文化背景和底蕴的巨大差距,往往制约了翻译的质量。本文从五个方面介绍了文化对 翻译的影响并指出翻译工作者在克服这些影响的过程中应注意的问题。

It is obvious that the mankind almost can not live without communication. Translation is the essential tool that people in heterogeneous cultures exchanged with each other. Though translation promotes exchange of heterogeneous cultures, translation itself in turn is influenced by culture too. This paper will introduce the influence of culture on translation from five respects and point out several problems the translators must pay attention to during translating.
