摘要
藻类对碘的吸收和利用已有不少研究，Fries观察到碘对多管藻(Polysiphonia)的生活是绝对必要的。Iwasaki观察到碘对紫菜某一阶段的生长有刺激作用．Pedersen观察到碘对水云等褐藻的生长是必要的。
The present paper describes the influences of iodine on the growth and development of the female gametophytes of Laminaria japonica.Lower concentrations of Iodine were observed to have the tendency o?promoting vigorous vegetative growth. The results were the formation of multicellular filaments. Higher concentrations of iodine seemed to inhibit development, so that there were less sporophytes in the treated groups than in the control group.It seemed that suitable higher concentrations of iodine might be used to promote the formation of isolated female gametophytes.
