N,N,N￣Ⅰ,N￣Ⅱ,N￣Ⅱ-diethylenetriaminepentakis (methylenephosphonic acid), DETPMPO,wassynthesized and characterlzed by element analysis and IR spectra, In the optimal conditions,the reactionof DETPWOwith copper(Ⅱ)forms a stable blue complex with a molar absorptivity of 3. 82×10￣3L·mol￣(-1)·cm￣(-1)at 309.9nm。The composition of the complex is 1:1,and the concentration of copper(Ⅱ)obeys the Beer's law from 3.81μg·mL￣(-1)to 19.05μg·mL￣(-1).The methed is successsfully used inthe determination of copper(Ⅱ)in the anolyte of elcctrolytric nickel of Jingchuan Co.
