摘要
异步转移模式(ATM)是实现宽带综合业务数字网(B-ISDN)的关键技术。就信元丢失率、吞吐量和存储器利用率来说,共享缓冲器式ATM交换机是实现B-ISDN的最佳选择。文中讨论了共享缓冲器ATM交换机的结构、工作原理、优先权控制、同播功能和提高输出队列可靠性的措施,提出了一种各输出队列的双门限信元丢失优先级控制的方法,并给出了一实现同播的新方法。
The Asychronous Transfer Mode(ATM)is expected to be a key technology for the B-IS-DN.In terms of the cell loss rate , throughput ,and utilization of buffer size ,the shared bufferATM switch is the best choice to implement the B-ISDN. In this paper ,the shared bufferATM switch is described including its architecture ,principle ,priority control ,multicast func-tion and the scheme of improving the reliability of the output queue chain.A novel approachusing double output queue length thresholds in cell loss priority control is suggested.A newscheme to implement the multicast function is also proposed.
