影响本调查区的天气系统十分复杂，而且随季节而变化。冬半年冷空气的活动，夏半年的热带气旋，台风以及四季对该区都产生影响的温带气旋都可能给该区带来灾害性天气。随着季节的变化太平洋高压的南北移动、西进东退更增加了天气变化的复杂性。
In this section the dominant weather systems that influence the seas such as typhoons, cold surges, cyclones, particularly their sources and tracks and their weather are described. Moreover the wind field of the seas is given and the meteorological conditions of the four sequences of cruises are recounted.
