摘要
根据美国1979年出版的《岩石颜色图册)(Rock color chart)，对本区39个站位144个样品进行了观色对比，并分别描述了每一样品的干、湿颜色。本区沉积物主要呈黄褐、色(8YR-10YR 3-5／1-2)、橄榄灰色(1Y-5Y 4-5／1-2)和暗黄绿色(1GY-5GY 4-6／1-2)；少数为灰橄榄色(10Y5／1)。
The color and types of the sediments have been discussed in this section. The mainly surficial sediments distributing on the middle and the outer shelf are olive gray (1Y-5Y 4-5/1-2) in color, and the others covering the fossil Changjiang river delta, yellowish brown (8YR-10YR 3-5/1-2). The sediments of the area can be classified into three categories: 1. terrigenous sediments; 2. terrigenous sediments with skeleton, including silty mud, muddy sand and fine sand; 3. skeleton-terrigeous sediments dominantly occurring as foram sand.
