长臂拖网亦称双臂架拖网(Double rig trawl)，即一船两网作业。和众所周知的桁拖、舷拖、尾拖、双沲一样，是底拖网作业的基本型式之一。这种作业在世界许多地区流行，常用于捕捞贴底栖息的虾类和底层鱼。其渔具渔法有一定的独到之处，生产效果较好，尤其在捕虾和鳎鱼时，效果优于其它拖网作业方式。使用这种作业船长应有较高的技术，并要求海底基本平坦、海面风浪不大。
The double rig trawl, which has certain unigue superiority is quite popular in many regions to fish the fishes and shrimps staying on the bottom of water. Though in China this kind of fishing ope- ration had not been accepted in ocean-fishing before, now it is becoming popular in ocean-going fishery and has already got remarkable ecnomical efficiency. The article desoribes the reequipment of fishing ships and fishing operation in details.
