摘要 南海是我国沿海最大最深的海域,中外学者曾作过一些研究。徐锡祯等用动力计算方法研究了南海的水平环流,首次给出了整个南海海域四个季度各层次的平均密度流图(如图2A、2B均引其动力计算结果)。该文给出的500米层(即中层)的环流与表层基本一致,并说明了南海环流有着较大的深度,至少在800米层的深度上,环流运动依然清晰可见。其动力计算的速度零面选为1200分巴。 Based on 'wind curl-therohaline gradient equation' the stream function equation of β-plane is applied to simulating the steady circulation of the South China sea in winter and summer. The computations obtained give us a dynamical mechanistic explanation to the circulation in the South China Sea.Considering realistic bottom topography, the flux on the lateral boundary,wind stress on the surface and thermohaline, the simulations are in agree ament with the current field by dynamical calculation. Through various mechanistic experiments we come to the conclusion that the major factor dominating the circulations is thermohaline ef- fect or the joint effect of boroclinity and topography, two kinds of monsoons opposite in direction only play adiustment role, the bottom topography is the necessary condition, the boundary forces are essential dynamic factor and the β-effect is of less importance in the South China Sea circulation.According to linear model, a nonlinear model is developed to simulate the winter and summer circulation, and the results show that the effect of nonlinear terms is not remarkable. In other words the linear model can be used to simulate the dynamic features of circulation in the South China Sea.
