摘要
海水中的碳水化合物与海洋有机体的生命活动有密切关系。碳水化合物是光合作用产物,是细胞的主要组份,而且又是能量储存形式。研究碳水化合物存在数量和分布变化对了解海洋中生物物质的生化作用过程和地球化学过程有重要意义,同时也有助于了解人类活动对予海洋环境所产生的影响。
A modification of the procedure in the determination of the total amount of dissolved carbohydrates in sea water by phenol-sulfuric acid method has been developed. 10ml of sea water was evaporated to dry-ness with a rotatory evaporator and 2ml of distilled water added to dissolve the dry material. After the addition of phenol solution the sulfuric acid reagent was added slowly along the wall of the flask and shaken well in a boiling water bath. The flask was allowed to remain in the water bath for 3-5 min. to allow for color development. The flask was then placed at room temperature for 15-20 min. The color intensity was measured with a 5cm cell at 490nm. Samples of near-shore sea water at Qingdao have been used to determine the total amout of dissolved carbohydrates by this technique with satisfactory result.
