On Carrying Forward and Cultivating Ethnical Spirit

民族精神是一个民族赖以生存和发展的精神支撑,因此必须加以大力弘扬和培育。为此,应把民族精神的培育与公民道德建设结合起来;把弘扬和培育民族精神纳入国民教育的全过程,把社会效益放在首位,积极发展文化事业和文化产业。另外还要不断汲取世界上其他民族精神的精华。

Ethnical spirit is the spiritual mainstay for the survival and development of a nation and it is a must to carry forward and cultivate the spirit. We should combine the cultivation of ethnical spirit with the construction of citizen morality. We should take the cultivation of the spirit into the process of national education. We should put social benefit first and develop cultural cause and cultural enterprises. Additionally, we should absorb the essence of ethical spirits of other nationalities in the world.
