Survey and Function Analysis of the North American Advanced Train Control Systems

综述北美铁路行车自动化系统ＡＴＣＳ的构成和特点。ＡＴＣＳ的目的是利用当今的高新技术，改造现有的行车与调度控制系统，以全面提高铁路运输的安全、有效和经济性。文中还介绍了ＡＴＣＳ系统的一些主要功能部件，分析了该系统的功能和特点，并提出了在我国如何开展行车自动化系统研究的一些思考。

This paper surveys the structure and characteristics of the advanced train control systems(ATCS)in north Americal. The aim of ATCS is modernizing the existing train movement control systems by current new techniques,and providing more reliable , effective and ecnomic railway transportation. This paper introduces the main elements of ATCS, analyses its benefits and presents some suggestions for the researches on the automatic train control systems in our country.
