The Role of Korean Education in Economic Development

近几年中国对一衣带水的邻邦韩国越来越关注,特别是文化领域中“韩流”现象越演越热,经济领域中则纷纷去韩国学习先进的技术及管理经验。国土面积狭小,资源贫乏的韩国为什么比我们这个拥有九千六百万平方公里的资源丰富的大国更先进更发达呢?有关韩国经济发展原因的研究很多,但大多数是从经济及政治的角度来研究的,本文从教育的角度出发,先对韩国人的教育意识进行考察,然后按照韩国产业化阶段即以轻工业为中心的劳动集约型产业化阶段、着重培养重化工业的资本集约型的产业化阶段以及以电子产业为中心的技术集约型的产业化阶段的顺序对韩国教育在经济发展中的作用进行了论述。

In recent years, China pays more and more attention to its neighbor Korea. Especially when 'Korea Tide' becomes hotter and hotter in the culture field, people also like to learn advanced technology and management experience in the field of economy. Why Korea that only has small country land and poor resource is much more advanced than China that covers an area of 9,600,000 square kilometers and has abundant resources? There are lots of studies about the reasons of Korea's economic development. But most of them research on the base of economy and politics. This essay is based on the education, which first investigate the Koreans' education consciousness then make a dissertation about the education's function in the economic development according to the step of Korea's industrialization phases which include labor-intensive industrialization phase that focuses on light-industry, capital- intensive industrialization phase that focuses on training heavy-industry and technology-intensive industrialization phase that focuses on electronic industry.
