BAI Chong-xi,one of the top generals of Guomingtang party and the most famous commander of Gui Faction,played an important role in bringing about the unity of Guangxi and Guangdong provinces,which established a base area for the Northern Expedition.Conforming to the historical trend of the times,he made lots of efforts-unifying the political opinions in Guangxi Province about the Northern Expeditiion, to urge the government to launch the Expedition.Furthermore,he propelled the revolution forward with his effective strategies and outstanding achievements in the battle fields. His enormous contribution to the Northern Expedition is affirmed.
