Abstract In this paper,main research results on the Aggregate Production Planning(APP) are firstly surveyed with the discussion of their limitations in the application of the Computer Inte-grated Manufacturing System(CIMS).Then,a more practical research model for the APP in the CIMS is presented.Finally,the combination of the expert system and simulation technique to form an expert simulation system for the effective solution of above model is described.
