在正常情况下硒是人体和动物生命过程中必需的微量营养素。综述了环境低硒状态下引发机体可能出现的疾病。如低硒可能出现的大骨节病、克山病、免疫功能低下、肝脏病、甲状腺疾病、心血管疾病、糖尿病、银屑病、肿瘤及以生殖系统疾病、衰老、情感变化、关节疼、胰腺炎和气喘病。然而 ,大多数的研究中机体高硒和低硒以及常态下硒含量没有一个统一的标准 ,而且 ,在这些疾病中没有明确地表明血清低硒是产生疾病的原因还是疾病产生的结果 ,以及针对这些疾病应如何纠正低硒。因此 ,调整硒的时机和剂量以及硒能否用于健康人的预防尚待进一步的研究。

Selenium is one of the integrant micronutrients supporting lives of both human-being and ani-mals.On the whole,The paper is concerned about the diseases which are induced by selenium deficiency probably.For instance,selenium deficiency could lead to such diseases,including Kaschin-Beck disease,Ke-shan disease,low imumunity,liver disease,thyroid gland disease,cardiovascular disease,diabetes,psoria-sis,tumor and reproduction disease,senile and feeble disease,affective fluctuation,arthropathy,pancreatitis and asthma.However,there aren't aunified standard among most research centers to judge whether it is ex-cessive or deficient.At the same time,it is not perspicuous that selenium deficency would induce the diseases or is the result of the diseases,as well as how to improve selenium status in the bodies properly.Therefore, it is a long way to go to adjust the dosage of the selenium in a proper time for the health care.
