“请”的词义特征是涉及交际客体方、以言语交际为形式, 其词义凸现动作感,“求”的词义特征是不一定涉及交际客体方、有所凭借、目的性强, 其词义凸现目的性。“请”最终发展为表敬副词是由“请”与“求”的词义差异及言语交际的礼貌原则所决定的。“请”与“求”的共存提供了语用选择的基础,具体的语境又对它们的词义产生了影响。
The semantic character of “qing” comes to the object of communication and the way of communication (speeches) , while that of “qiu” ,by some media , refers to an optional object . Therefore , “qing” emphasizes the action , but “qiu” stresses the intention . This difference in sense and the principle of politeness result in “qing” an adverb showing esteem . The coexistence of “qing” and “qiu” supplies the possibilities of pragmatic selection and the contexts influence their meaning in return.
